General Description:

Extreme strong micro-carbides, uniformly distrib-uted in a tough steel, result in a wear resistant material with a service life multiple of approx. 8 times higher than mild steel.

The HF 1800 combines high wear resistance and processing possibilities.

Applications

HF 1800 can be used for:

Power Industry

Mining and Quarrying Industry

Feeder wear plates, wear plates in primary, sec-ondary and tertiary crushing plants, dump truck trays, shovel bucket linings, bulldozer blade, wear plates, mixer liners etc.

Machining

Drilling and Milling

Drilling and Milling can be done with high speed tools, HSSCO type.

preferred: tungsten – carbide

grade: K 10 or K 20 accord: ISO – standard

Cutting

HF 1800 can be cut with all classical thermal processes. min. temperature + 10 °C.

Preheating approx 150 °C requested for thickness above 40 mm.

Welding

HF 1800 can be welded with all traditional welding processes. Please cover after welding to avoid thermal shock.

Sheet thickness > 50 mm;

preheating 100 - 150 °C

Bending

1 – 15 mm:

The special metallurgical concept of HF 1800 allows forming thickness up to 15 mm at temperature of 450 to 500 °C without any further heat treatment and un-changed service life.

Bending at 890 – 900°C is possible as well with limited reduction of hardness by approx. 10%.

> 15 mm:

Cold forming of HF 1800 can be done without

problems.

You have to meet the following conditions:

- Plate temperature > 10 °C

- No marks or scratches in shaped zone, mainly on external face

- Minimum internal bending radius

- Bending in multi steps with dwell times be-tween the single steps
